September is a wonderful time of the year at our school as students have an opportunity to embark on new experiences, start new classes, and meet new friends. During this time of year, we also have a chance to welcome new families, and reacquaint ourselves with current families and friends. Also during this time, the administration staff spends a lot of time discussing how we can improve and enhance the student experience at MFCS. In fact, at our Opening Ceremony and General meeting last week, we discussed some of these improvement ideas. You can count on hearing more about our continuous improvements in the weeks and months ahead. For now, we just wanted to thank you parents, students, staff and the Administration for making our Opening Ceremony and General meeting a success!!
Reminder: For security reasons, we ask that parents remain behind in the cafeteria while teachers bring students to class. For those that have a special arrangement with teacher to sit in the classroom, please stop by the security desk to obtain a visitor’s badge.
Language Department
General Announcements
On Sep-28, between 9:30am and 9:45am MFCS classes invites parents to sit in their child(ren) class during our “Back to School” class visit event. Teachers will give parents an overview of the year, curriculum and expectations. Later this year, parents will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the teacher after Language class hours, if they wish. More details to follow on that later.
Reminder: Please arrive early and have your child(ren) report to Cafeteria A and sit at their classroom table by 9:05am. Teachers will bring students up to classroom. The lower level tables are reserved for FCS faculty, staff and parents seating.
Cultural Department
As we head into our 3rd week of class, please remember the following:
Any change in culture class requires pre clearance from the Culture Dept. Teachers will be taking attendance this week, any student not on the roster, will be sent to their assigned culture class.
No parents are allowed in culture class except classroom parents. If you have special circumstances to be in the class with your child please stop by the Culture desk.
We are reviewing the option of hosting parent day to invite parents to check out the cultural class and their child’s progress.
